Checking Ready for Rescue Status

The Rescue Ready indicator is in the top right-hand corner of the Cardiac Science G3. If the symbol is green, the AED is Rescue Ready. When this symbol is Red, check the pads expiry and battery expiry dates.

If the pads and battery dates are okay and the symbol remains red, contact Action First Aid for assistance.

Battery Expiry

The manufacture date of the battery is shown on the white label beside the manufacture symbol on the upper right of the white label on the battery. The estimated life of a new fully charged battery is 4 years after the date of installation.

Pad Expiry

To the right of the hourglass symbol on the front of the Cardiac Science G3 pads is the pads expiration date (eg. 2024-06-28).

Serial Number

Beside SN on the back of the defibrillator is the serial number. Beneath the factory symbol is the year and month of manufacture.

Monthly Maintenance Check for a Cardiac Science G3

Checking your automated external defibrillator (AED) monthly is essential for giving someone the chance to save a life. In this video, we walk you through how to check that your Cardiac Science G3 will be ready to use if sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) strikes.
