Babysitting Course

What first aid courses does Action First Aid offer?
We offer a full range of WSIB-approved certification courses, including Intermediate First Aid (Standard), Basic First Aid (Emergency), CPR/AED (Levels A, C, and BLS), and Mental Health First Aid. Youth programs and 100% online awareness courses are also available.
Are your courses WSIB approved?
Yes, our Action First Aid Intermediate First Aid (Standard) and Basic First Aid (Emergency) courses are WSIB approved and meets the requirements for CSA Z1210-24 and CSA Z1210-17.
Do you offer group or workplace first aid training?
Yes. We offer on-site group training for workplaces, schools, organizations, etc. across Ontario. Courses can be scheduled at your location with flexible timing, or at one of our training centres (Barrie, Bracebridge, Sudbury). Learn More
Where do you offer first aid training in Ontario?
We run daily courses at our flagship training centre in Barrie. We also regularly run courses at our Bracebridge, Sudbury and Ottawa training centres. On-site group training is available throughout Ontario.
How long does it take to get first aid certified?
It depends on the course and the format chosen (blended vs. traditional).
Traditional Format:
- CPR/AED can be completed in a half day.
- Basic First Aid (Emergency) is a one-day certification.
- Intermediate First Aid (Standard) is completed over two days.
- BLS adds 1 hour of class time
Blended Format:
With blended learning, you complete online modules at your own pace before attending a shorter in-person session:
- CPR/AED Level A of C: 2 hours in-person
- Basic First Aid (Emergency): 4 hours in-person (half day)
- Intermediate First Aid (Standard): 8 hours in-person (1 day)
- BLS adds 1 hour of class time
